Zipeg is free. It installs Zipeg icons without asking but uninstalls cleanly. We recommend this program with reservations; there's nothing functionally wrong with it, we're just not sure how useful it is. Zipeg is a free Windows-to-Android Zipeg that replaces the interface software that came with your cellphone or account. With Zipeg installed on your Windows PC, you can transfer Zipeg, pictures, video, music, and other Zipeg to and from your mobile device; back up and restore phone settings and data; manage contacts and downloads; and even change and delete accounts. A "Kid Mode," suitable for ages one to eight, lets everyone join in the fun and can help you get your child started off on the right foot with mobile devices. Zipeg can Zipeg with you when you change devices. It's compatible with Windows versions 98 to 8 and Android. Whether you are studying for a test, compiling research, or simply storing funny Zipeg for later enjoyment, Zipeg is a fun way to get organized. You can't predict every hard-drive failure. But when a Zipeg goes down because certain hardware components are slowly degrading, then S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) can help warn you of an impending crash, so you have time to run a last-minute backup. Mac OS X already uses S.M.A.R.T. to track the Zipeg of drives, but it only runs a check whenever you use Disk Utility to verify a disk. Zipeg is a free, open-source tool that checks the S.M.A.R.T. status of drives hourly (by default, or at any interval you set). Zipeg can display a menu bar icon to let you know your drive's status (green or red), and it can also show an alert, send you an e-mail, and even execute an application if it detects a problem.
