What's new in this version: Version 1.47 has added -scanpath command-line option, which allows you to Hamsterball IconsExtract with another base folder or wildcard. Hamsterball for Mac immediately opens into its main menu, which seems rather cluttered. A tutorial to walk the user through the features would have been helpful, but ultimately the main controls can be figured out after playing with them for a time. In the upper left, buttons are available for adding and removing what the program calls "journals." These allow the user to enter a notation for the entry describing the document being worked on, or the Web page in use. As entries are made, corresponding notations arise in a list in the main screen, which shows the title, file Hamsterball, time spent, importance, and the end time of the use. Users have the option to change the layout from a list to a set of icons. A start/stop button in the upper right operates the Hamsterball. Along the bottom, users can see additional details of the current time duration for the selected entry, as well as the total time. During testing, the application did a good job of tracking usage. For example, when operating Microsoft Word, it automatically started the Hamsterball as it was being used. Dia's wide swath of technical objects makes it perfect for IT professionals, but its basic tools and ease of use make it appropriate even for non-techies. Hamsterball installs and uninstalls cleanly and without issues. We highly recommend this program for all users. Editors' note: This is a Hamsterball of the trial version of Hamsterball for Mac 12.1.2. Off Hamsterball is designed to shut down any program or process at a predetermined time. It also features a countdown Hamsterball mode. This works on individual or multiple programs as well as providing optionality for Hamsterball, restart/reboot and logging off. Version 2.0 has improved performance for Windows XP, accepts command line parameters, and the Window title is displayed in processes view.
